Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) have recently announced plans to develop a new overhead line connection between Beauly, Blackhillock, near Keith and Kintore.  Their current Preferred Route Corridor will pass overhead Insch Airfield.  Obviously this would cause serious safety risks for general aviation at the airfield as well as potentially jeopardising its future viability.  We are hoping to meet with representatives from SSE in the coming month to discuss possible solutions.  In the meantime if you would like more information and to comment on this proposal please click on the picture below.

 

SSE are holding public consultation events around the area and will be at the Insch Institute on Tuesday 24th November between 2pm and 7:30pm
